DR ERIC MWENDA MURUNGA

Dr. Eric Murunga trained at the University of Nairobi and earned his MBChB degree in 1998. He proceeded to the USA where he trained in internal medicine. He is an American Board-Certified Physician who practiced medicine in the USA for more than 10 years. He was named the Young Physician of the Year in the state of South Dakota in 2010 by the American College of Physicians (ACP). He trained in gastroenterology in Cape Town, South Africa. This led to an MPhil degree from Stellenbosch University and a Fellowship Certificate from the College of Physicians of South Africa. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).

He is the current National Chairman of the Gastroenterology Society of Kenya (GSK).
